Our Vision and Values

Vision

The vision of Through the Roof (what we want to achieve) is for all disabled people to be free to fulfil their God-given potential.

Our mission statement (why we do what we do) is to make the Christian message accessible to those affected by disability.

We achieve this through four strategic aims (how we will achieve our mission).  Through the Roof will:

  • • Provide the opportunity for people to encounter Jesus Christ
  • • Empower and train individuals and organisations to remove the barriers to enable the full participation of disabled people
  • • Provide advice, support and fellowship for disabled people and their families
  • • In developing countries, enable disabled people to achieve mobility and access to education

The above translates into our four main programmes: Churches Inc, Disabled Christian Fellowship, Integr8 and Wheels for the World.

Values

Through the Roof’s values encapsulate and reflect the ways in which we do things as an organisation.  We have adopted the following five values.

Equality

Through the Roof believes that, amidst our diversity, everyone is of equal and infinite worth and value.

Relationship

Through the Roof recognises that we are dependent on God and interdependent upon one another.

Transformation

Through the Roof brings about positive and lasting change.

Enabling

We empower and equip all people to enable disabled people to reach their full potential.

Excellence

We aim for excellence in everything we do, whilst humbly learning from one another.
