Training and speaking
Training
We offer a number of interactive, half-day workshops to equip churches with practical ideas, skills and strategies to include disabled people. Topics include autism, mental health and general disability awareness.
In this section you can check out our full list of standard training workshops, download further information about workshops (including costs and booking procedures), and read what others say about our training. If you can't see exactly what you need, please contact us and we'll try to meet your requirements.
Speaking
You might not have reached the stage yet where you want training, for various reasons. You may feel you are the only person trying to wave the flag on this important theme, or you may just be exploring this issue as a church, or you might not have enough people to train.
We have a network of Christian speakers - most of whom have personal experience of disability - that are available to talk to your group or congregation. Every person is unique and so each speaker will bring a different perspective and can talk on such things as their own experience, the work of TTR or share a message from the Bible.
Hundreds of people have benefited from hearing our speakers and we are happy to provide this ministry free of charge, but would ask that you cover travel expenses and/or make a donation to enable more churches to hear about God's heart for disabled people.
To book a speaker, please contact us with details of date(s), location and a brief summary of what you require.
Exhibitions
Through the Roof can usually be found at the Christian Resources Exhibition (CRE) held at Sandown Park, Esher, Surrey each May.
We also attend various other exhibitions throughout the year - please stop at our stand and say hello!
If you are holding an exhibition or other event and think it would be appropriate for us to attend, please email the office.
