There are many different ways for you to support the Wheels for the World programme. Here are some ideas to get you started…
Pray
We really appreciate those who pray for the work of Through the Roof, including Wheels for the World. We would value ongoing prayer for:
The Steering Wheels team as they plan future distributions
Glenda, the Wheels for the World Coordinator who works tirelessly to ensure the smooth running of the programme
All the volunteers involved in fundraising, speaking and offering practical help either in the UK or as team members on a distribution
The partner organisations overseas
The people whose lives have been transformed by the gift of a wheelchair, and those who are still in need of this valuable gift.
Serve
We need dedicated volunteers with a clear Christian faith. Team roles include physiotherapists, occupational therapists and mechanics who make minor adjustments to wheelchairs under the direction of therapists. Teams also include an administrator, a photographer and somebody to offer pastoral support and teaching. All team members fund themselves, usually with backing from their church, work colleagues and friends. Give
Consider holding a fundraising event on our behalf. Through the Roof is financed by donations from churches, clubs and individuals – funds are needed for all aspects of the Wheels for the World programme including wheelchair transport, container hire and equipment for the prison workshop. Come up with your own ideas or get inspiration from our fundraising section.
You can also contribute towards the provision of a wheelchair, or sponsor a team member, using the wheelchair sponsor form.

Tell
Promote Wheels for the World with an event at your church, club or workplace. We can provide leaflets for you to give out, and team members may be available to talk to groups – please contact us at info@throughtheroof.org
